Village Council

Village Council meets the 2nd & 4th Monday of each month at 7 p.m. The meetings are held in the Village Council Chambers. The Council Chambers is located at 12 James St., New London, OH 44851. 

Minutes of each meeting will be posted promptly on the Village Website. If the Council determines to change this policy, or to change the schedule or cancel future “regular” meetings, notification will also be posted on the Village Website.

Volunteers Needed to Lead Council Invocation

The Village Council invites any minister of a church or member of a religion of a religious order representing any religious organization with "501(c)(3)" status recognized by the Internal Revenue Service to volunteer to present the Invocation at a meeting of Council by contacting the Fiscal Officer. Volunteers will be accepted on a first come, first served, rotating basis. The Invocation may include a prayer, a reflective moment of silence, or short solemnizing message, and the content is not reviewed in advance by the Village, but is requested; to maintain a spirit of respect for all; to not exploit the opportunity as an effort to convert others to a particular faith or disparage the faith or belief of others; and to not exceed three minutes.
