NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
VILLAGE OF NEW LONDON, OHIO
Notice is hereby given that the Village Council of the Village of New London, Ohio, will hold a public hearing on the following proposed amendments to the Village of New London Planning and Zoning Code.
- To consider a proposed amendment to the Village of New London Zoning Code, which would require submission of an official boundary and improvement survey as part of a complete application for certain zoning requests, including variances and conditional uses, when dimensional compliance, lot boundaries, or the location of structures is at issue. The amendment will also establish survey standards and allow for limited administrative waivers in specified circumstances.
- To consider a proposed amendment to the Village of New London Zoning Code, which would update the regulations regarding inoperable and junk vehicles. This amendment seeks to clarify the definitions of inoperable and junk vehicles, outline enforcement procedures, and establish standards for the removal and abatement of such vehicles from properties within the village. The changes aim to enhance consistency and effectiveness in addressing violations related to vehicle storage and maintenance.
The proposed amendments are administrative and procedural in nature and do not rezone or redistrict property.

The full text of the proposed zoning ordinance amendments are on file and available for public inspection at the Office of the Village Clerk, 115 E. Main Street, New London, Ohio 44851, during regular business hours, for a period of not less than thirty (30) days prior to the hearing date.
All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing.
Village Council will consider adoption of the proposed amendment after the conclusion of the public hearing.

- LARGER than 144 sq. ft.- $25 permit fee plus an additional $.05/per sq. ft.
Single Family Dwellings and Additions
- Up to 1500 sq. ft.- $50 permit fee plus an additional $.05/per sq. ft.
- 1501 sq. ft. to 2000 sq. ft.- $70 permit fee plus an additional $.05/per sq. ft.
- 2001 sq. ft. to 2500 sq. ft.- $80 permit fee plus an additional $.05/per sq. ft.
- Over 2500 sq. ft.- $110 permit fee plus an additional $.05/per sq. ft.
Multiple Family Dwellings (Duplex)
- Up to 1600 sq. ft.- $75 permit fee plus an additional $.05/per sq. ft.
- 1601 sq. ft. and over- $100 permit fee plus an additional $.05/per sq. ft.
Commercial and Industry
- Up to 3000 sq. ft.- $125 permit fee plus an additional $.05/per sq. ft.
- 3001 sq. ft. to 5000 sq. ft.- $225 permit fee plus an additional $.05/per sq. ft.
